Born and raised in portugal , my favorite toy as a child used to be a4 paper sheets
and a bunch of pens. I now draw for a living. Everyone saw it coming.  

A few years, a hand full of exhibitions, published books and awards later,
here I am, more certain about this life than ever.
Designing became illustrating became writing - the dream love triangle.

Having gotten involved with NGO’s for animal rights and sanctuaries, I figured art
could also be a form of volunteering. A lot of the pieces I’ve worked on for merch,
social media posts, etc., were done pro-bono, serving as a reminder to myself
of the main reason I do what I do: passion & impact.

(yes - art is, always has been and always will be political)

I’ve realized that creating something that helps others is one of the things that
hepls us out the most, staying gorunded when it comes to not only
our creative practices, but to our daily lives.

I do think that Grian Chatten from Fontaines D.C. was right when he said that the word
that makes the world go round is ‘‘love’’. May my work contribute to that.

(plus, it sounds really cool to say ‘’I’m an illustrator’’) :)

I have also become a music enthusiast and a full-time bookworm,
in case you were wondering (you probably weren’t)
